Picking Cotton

Currently on 60 Minutes, is a story about Ronald Cotton, a man whose was locked up for 11 years because a woman picked him out of a lineup as the man who raped her. Yadda yadda yadda this happens all the time, right? Yeah. However, to listen to this lady talk about it is disgusting, yay i'm sorry your a rape victim and i'm your a survivor. She was all like "I made sure the while he was raping me I remebered things about him, did he have a accent? any tattoos? Hair? " In my mind i'd be formulating a way to get to escape and worry about other things later. Because honestly, if someone isnt living such a great life, jail isnt a horrible place, you get three meals a day, phone calls, you can workout, apparently in some jails they have cable. (thank you parys).

Avirex? Well it was like 15 years ago, so i GUESS....

But he just forgave her. I guess that he's had so much time to think about it, that he had no resentment. I think its beautiful to have a large portion of his life taken away for something he didnt do, and not want to strangle this woman, when all she did was ask for forgiveness?

At least buy him dinner. Really.

So of course, now they go and do seminars and things. But I feel like all he wants to do is live his life. He's just happy to have it back. He doesnt need to publicity. I think its her that keeps pulling him out of the woodwork to make appearances. Because the special showed that he worked in a factory, there was no mention of her having a job, so she must be living off the proceeds. The guy who really did it is on the left.

I guess they both look alike, if by alike you mean black, and male.

Its not that the court system doesnt make mistakes and im not saying they dont, i'm made about the way they went about presenting this.

Just let them have their lives back. or his.

Oh yeah, so they she wrote a book....
